Our Goal
The Center for Automotive Science & Technology at Weber State
University is an education, industry and government partnership formed to develop a better
understanding of vehicle emissions, on-board diagnostics, fuels and vehicle safety among
academic, regulatory and private sectors. We provide high-tech training to the
automotive inspection & maintenance (I/M) technicians, repair technicians,
instructors, students, regulatory officials and field engineers.
History
The Center for Automotive Science & Technology at Weber State University is
the nationally recognized resource center for On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) training.
The center also provides effective training in other emissions areas including:
Acceleration Simulation Mode (ASM), IM240, Advanced Inspection and Maintenance (I/M)
Diagnosis & Repairs and Alternative Fuels. The Center is dedicated to provide
state of the art training to technicians, air quality officials, community leaders and
educators.
